This year the Government plans to give back money to tax payers under the Economic Stimulus Plan. Many Americans will receive $600 dollars filing individually or $1,200 dollars fi ling jointly on their tax returns. In addition, parents will receive $300 dollars per child. You may be jumping up and down eager to get that big, fat check. But do you have a plan for the money?

Perhaps you’ve thought about paying off debt, investing it and/or having fun with it. Here’s another idea: Give it to the Lord as a special gift. You could designate it to our HUG building fund, sack lunch ministry, youth program or put it towards the Home Treasury which supports a variety of ministries here and around the world. If our members would each give a portion of the money they receive from the Government, it would make a huge impact on our ministry. For example, if every adult member gave $100 dollars of the rebate check to Trinity, there would be $140,000 more available for ministry. Wow! Imagine what would happen if the gifts were larger!!!

A wise steward plans how best to use what God has provided. May He bless us as we make those decisions.
